The South African Mint is proud to offer its long-running Experiential Learnership Programme, which has successfully developed skilled professionals in the field of coin-making for over a decade. This programme provides a valuable learning experience for students needing practical training to complete their National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.

Job Purpose:

The programme aims to offer students who have completed all S4 modules an opportunity for experiential learning, a crucial step in qualifying for their National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of all S4 modules (NDip: Analytical Chemistry or related fields).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process monitoring and data collection.
  • Conduct Daily 5S inspections in all lab areas.
  • Assist with laboratory projects focused on process optimization and problem-solving.
  • Perform lab tests independently and ensure quality assurance.
  • Support and execute continuous improvement projects.
  • Assist with the daily operations of the laboratory department.
  • Ensure adherence to material usage requirements.
  • Apply technical knowledge to support ongoing improvement initiatives.
