Job Related Requirements.

Own reliable transport to and from work
Minimum of 1 year experience in the Transport and Logistics industry
Must be able to work overtime, shifts, weekends, as and when required Must be able to attend training on weekends (Saturdays & Sundays)
Be able to work in a pressurized environment
The ability to liaise with clients both internal and external
Disposition to be accurate and pay attention to detail
Excellent administration skills required
Work in a diverse team

Main purpose of the role

Oversee the accurate and correct loading of AUTO vehicles, liaise, and engage with the OD’s and route delivery and offloading staff. Ensure arrival and dispatching times of vehicles are adhered to, scanning, and sealing procedures are followed. Checking that the freight is loaded accordingly. Logging damages and filing of documentation. Communicate any deviation through to Auto dealers

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Ensure the area of responsibility is clean, neat, and tidy before sort commences and after the shift ends.
•    Ensure all inbound line hauls are being monitored and offloaded.
•    Taking photos of all inbound line haul freight. •    Ensure that all Auto vehicles are loaded timeously.
•    Ensuring all the freight is scanned a per company requirements
•    Adhering to company procedures regarding security, sealing and dispatching of all vehicles.
•    Ensure all administrative functions related to the position are completed.
•    Oversee the sorting of freight in the Auto bays.
•    Ensure that all handovers are being executed.
•    Complying with company quality control processes.
•    Allocate auditors to scan all outgoing delivery vehicles.
•    Seal and tape open or damaged parcels.
•    Record discrepancies with regards to damages, open cartons and short shipments on BluJay system.
•    Complying with and implementing the 5s methodology.
