Available Learnership Opportunities

Successful candidates will enroll in a structured learnership program in one of the following trades:

• Fitter (8 positions available)
• Rigger (4 positions available)
• Electrician (4 positions available)
• Diesel Mechanic (2 positions available)
• Boilermaker (6 positions available)

Minimum Entry Requirements

To qualify for these learnerships, applicants must meet the following criteria depending on their area of specialization:

General Requirements:

• Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematical Literacy), Physical Science, and English (minimum 40% pass in each subject); or
• N2 qualification or higher with all relevant subjects for the chosen trade; or
• NCV Level 4 in the relevant trade with all subjects passed (minimum 40%).

Trade Test Requirements:

• A minimum of N2 subjects/certificate related to the relevant trade, including:
  • Mathematics
  • Engineering Science
  • Relevant Trade Theory
  • Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings, or Plating Structural Drawings

Interested candidates must submit the following:

• A comprehensive CV
• A copy of their ID
• Certified copies of all relevant qualifications

Additional Requirement for Host Community Applicants:

• Proof of residence stamped by the relevant tribal office or municipality

Background Checks

Applicants must consent to background screening, including fingerprint verification, as part of the selection process.
