Lactalis South Africa (LSA) was registered in South Africa in 2020. Although the name change from Parmalat SA only came into effect on 1 February 2020, the company under its previous name had been part of the Lactalis Group since 2011. LSA’s roots in South Africa and in France date back to the early 1900s. The company is home to quality and trusted brands such as Melrose, Président, Parmalat and Steri Stumpie, as well as Bonnita, PureJoy, Galbani, and Aylesbury. Role Purpose,
Join Lactalis at our Bonnievale Plant in the F/Goods Cheese department with the main responsibilities is to collection materials for the Plant. Must have at least 2 year’s experiences as Driver Code 10 in manufacturing environment. Must have valid PrDP and Code 10 Driver’s license. Must be able willing to do long distance routes. Be fluent in English and be computer literate.
Requirements,
- Gr12 or equivalent
- Valid PrDP and Code 10 Driver’s license
- Forklift license is compulsory
- At least 2 years experiences as a code 10 driver
- Knowledge of pre-trip vehicle check
- Willing to do long distance routes
- Willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be medically fit in accordance with road traffic regulations
- Diligence and accuracy in daily functions
- Punctuality and attendance reliability
- Ability to analyse problems and potential to take charge of a situation
- The ability to consistently produce accurate documentation/slips/receipts.
Duties and Responsibilities,
- Collection of Packaging and Raw materials from suppliers for the Plant daily.
- Also normal stores assistance tasks in offloading, stacking and picking.
- Preservation of stock in transit.
- Post and pre trip inspection of vehicles.
- Monitoring and recording of receipts, load sheets, instructions and relevant documentation.
- Deliveries, collection of return stock and completion of relevant documentation.
- Management and housekeeping of vehicle and equipment.
- Vehicle handling and safe driving – Following all road safety procedures and adhere to legislation.
- Drive vehicle with due caution and care.
- Report any deviances to the supervisor.
- Building and maintaining a positive image at all times.
